Job Summary
Job Title: Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home
Location: Bacup (OL13)
Pay: 15.65 per hour 3000 welcome bonus
Hours: 160 hours per month
Employment Type: Permanent
Service: Childrens Residential Home (3-bed)
Service Users: Children and young people aged 817 with EBD
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential)
Experience Required: Experience within Ofsted-registered childrens residential care
The Home
This is a 3-bed childrens residential home in Bacup (OL13) supporting young people aged 817 with EBD. The home provides a stable structured environment with a strong focus on safeguarding consistency and positive outcomes.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a confident and supportive Deputy Manager to work closely with the Registered Manager and help lead the team day-to-day.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home
Leading shifts supervising staff and promoting strong practice across the team
Supporting young people with EBD through consistent trauma-informed care
Maintaining high safeguarding standards and supporting inspection readiness
Contributing to care planning risk management placement stability and positive outcomes
Helping to embed a positive culture where children feel safe heard and supported
Requirements
Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential)
Experience within Ofsted-registered childrens residential care
Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
Able to lead by example and support staff development
Committed to safeguarding and achieving the best outcomes for young people

You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car.
You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent).
Candidates with only HealthCare NHS CQC or Nursery Practitioner qualifications will not be considered.
Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Childrens Home will not be considered.
