Job Description & Summary

A career in our Microsoft Dynamics team will provide the opportunity to help our clients transform their technology landscape across Front Back and Mid-Office functions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics. We focus on contributing to PwCs value proposition of strategy led and technology enabled by aligning our Consulting Solutions industry focus with the Microsoft technologies such as Dynamics 365 Azure Power Platform and Power BI.

As part of the Microsoft CRM team you will help our clients transform their Sales Service and Marketing functions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics. You will also help deploy and optimize the use of Microsoft Business Applications Suite across several industries to provide enterprises with deep domain knowledge and purpose built front office applications designed to meet the unique needs of the business.

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 CRM Developer with hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 Field Service to design configure and extend CRM and field operations capabilities across the Microsoft ecosystem. This role combines strong technical development skills with a solid understanding of field service processessupporting solutions that enhance customer engagement technician workflows scheduling asset management and service delivery.

You will work closely with business analysts architects and operations teams to build high-performing secure and scalable solutions within Dynamics 365 Power Platform and Azure.

Key Responsibilities

Dynamics 365 & Field Service Development

  • Develop and customize solutions in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) particularly within Field Service modules (Work Orders Incident Types Resource Scheduling Agreements Customer Assets Inventory).
  • Build and extend system functionality using:
    • C# plugins
    • Custom Workflow Activities
    • JavaScript (form scripts ribbon commands)
    • Power Fx / Canvas App logic
    • Liquid templates (if supporting portals/Power Pages)
  • Configure and customize forms views business rules model-driven apps and Dataverse tables.

Integrations & Automation

  • Integrate D365 with external systems using:
    • Azure Functions
    • Logic Apps
    • Power Automate
    • RESTful APIs / Webhooks
    • Service Bus / Event Hub
  • Build automated workflows for scheduling notifications escalations and service lifecycle events.
  • Support synchronization of work orders inventory updates and invoicing integrations with ERP systems.

Resource Scheduling & Mobile

  • Configure and enhance Schedule Board booking rules resource requirements and territories.
  • Develop extensions for the Field Service Mobile App including offline capabilities barcode scanning custom forms and technician debrief flows.
  • Implement Inspections embedded controls and custom logic to support frontline worker processes.

Code Quality DevOps & ALM

  • Package and deploy solutions through Solutions managed/unmanaged layers and environment strategies.
  • Use Azure DevOps for:
    • Source control (Git repos)
    • Build and release pipelines
    • Work item management
  • Conduct code reviews enforce standards and maintain documentation for all customizations and integrations.

Testing Support & Troubleshooting

  • Develop unit tests for plugin logic and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues API failures plugin exceptions and client-side errors.
  • Support UAT cycles and collaborate on defect triage and release readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of hands-on development experience in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement / CRM.
  • At least 12 years working directly with Dynamics 365 Field Service.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • C# .NET Plugins Custom Workflow Activities
    • JavaScript / TypeScript
    • Dataverse APIs
    • Power Automate and the Power Platform
  • Experience configuring Field Service:
    • Work Orders Incident Types Service Tasks
    • Schedule Board Bookable Resources Resource Scheduling Optimization (RSO)
    • Customer Assets Inventory Warehouses
    • Agreements Billing Inspections
  • Understanding of field service operations and service lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with Azure services (Functions Logic Apps API Management Key Vault).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications:
    • PL-400: Power Platform Developer
    • MB-240: Dynamics 365 Field Service
    • PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant
  • Experience with:
    • Field Service Mobile (Resco or Microsoft FS Mobile)
    • Connected Field Service / IoT alerts
    • Power Pages and portal development
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices for Power Platform deployments.
  • Experience integrating D365 with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Dynamics Finance & Operations).
