Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team on a 24-months contract basis where you will be instrumental in building and optimizing our data infrastructure in cloud. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable secure and high-performance data solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data architectures pipelines and ETL processes.
- Build and maintain cloud-native data platforms and dashboards to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Ensure high standards of data quality reliability and availability across all systems.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and operations.
- Partner with business units data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Provide Level 3 support for in-house applications and data platform/warehouse operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
- Proven expertise in building and managing data platforms on cloud environments.
- Strong programming skills in SQL Python and other relevant languages.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as BigQuery Dataflow Kafka and Pub/Sub is highly advantageous.
- Experience with IaC tools and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with API development using Apigee integration with Drupal-based developer portals and monetization models is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of data modeling ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
