PhD Candidate in Mathematics (Discrete Mathematics and Combinatorics) (m/f/d)
(Full-time 385 hours/week limited for 3 years)
Your tasks:
Conduct doctoral research in discrete mathematics with emphasis on combinatorial and structural aspects of graphs maps or related objects.
Study exact enumeration and classification problems for constrained combinatorial structures.
Explore connections between combinatorics topology and algebra.
Develop and implement exact or symbolic algorithms for combinatorial problems.
Prepare scientific publications and a doctoral dissertation.
Participate in research seminars workshops and international conferences.
Your profile:
Masters degree in Mathematics Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
Solid background in discrete mathematics combinatorics graph theory or algebra.
Strong analytical skills and interest in theoretical research.
Motivation to pursue a PhD in a research-oriented international environment.
Programming experience is an advantage but not required.
Very good command of written and spoken English.
