An exciting opportunity for an experienced scrub/scout Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Operating Theatre team at the prestigious Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!


About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nations most respected hospitals with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local statewide national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated innovative and caring.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

This position works a rotating roster with evenings weekends night shifts and on-call commitments in Neurosurgery ENT Ophthalmology General Emergency Theatre. Experience in any of the above-mentioned specialties and willingness to learn the others will be highly regarded.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Effective interpersonal skills excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
  • Experience in any of the following specialties: Neurosurgery ENT Ophthalmology General Emergency Theatre.
  • Current Australian working rights.
