The Global Mobility Adviser supports and manages all aspects of international assignments and crossborder employee moves. The role acts as a bridge between employees HR mobility vendors tax providers and business leaders.
Core responsibilities
- Advise employees and managers on international business travel requirements including visas work permits insurance and supporting documentation.
- Manage complex immigration cases by liaising with external specialists to deliver compliant workable solutions.
- Provide expert guidance on visa routes timelines and documentation to support forward planning of overseas projects.
- Support inward UK immigration advising on appropriate routes and managing Temporary Worker visa sponsorship.
- Guide international assignees and families on relocation matters including insurance permits allowances expenses and compliance requirements.
- Assess and categorise secondment proposals preparing business cases and supporting approval processes.
- Draft coordinate and finalise secondment agreements with legal and operational stakeholders.
- Identify tax and payroll implications of secondments and ensure accurate communication and escalation to specialists.
- Coordinate end-to-end relocation services with external providers for employees and dependants.
- Act as primary point of contact for global mobility queries maintaining confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
- Manage procurement and financial administration of relocation services ensuring accurate billing.
- Improve and streamline global mobility processes guidance resources and stakeholder communication while promoting EDI principles.
Qualifications :
- Strong knowledge of UK and global immigration legislation right-to-work requirements and the ability to interpret complex visa routes and challenge non-compliant practices.
- Ability to advise stakeholders at all levels on business visa options supported by research into international immigration relocation and insurance requirements.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality with a solid understanding of GDPR and data protection compliance.
- Excellent planning organisational and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Proven ability to collaborate with external suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant international mobility projects
