As a Mechanical Design Engineer within Bosch Home Comfort Group you will join a growing area focused on the development of electrical solutions the new and improved heating and cooling solutions across Europe essential for a sustainable future.
You will be part of a cross-functional team within an international environment developing heat pump solutions which will be assembled in different Bosch plants.
Your contribution to something big:
- Develop and design mechanical components for heat pumps;
- Generate 3D CAD models including assemblies and create 2D technical drawings and documentation;
- Perform tolerance analysis (2D 3D and statistical) to ensure functional and manufacturable designs;
- Create and maintain component specifications including materials for components and Material Order Specifications (MOS);
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) considering manufacturing processes and assembly requirements;
- Create Bills of Materials (BOM) for all assemblies;
- Develop designs that meet targets for feasibility performance cost quality safety legislation and timing;
- Support sample ordering prototype builds and validation activities to verify and optimize technical solutions;
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and optimization of existing components.
Qualifications :
What distinguishes you:
Education:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering Physics Engineering or a similar field.
Experience & Know-how:
- Experience in the specification and development of new mechanical components;
- Experience with tolerance chain calculation and application of GD&T;
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes construction methods and material selection;
- Familiarity with 3D CAD and PLM tools; proficiency in Siemens Unigraphics (NX) is a plus;
- Knowledge of product engineering tools such as product design reviews FMEA RMS and DRBFM.
Languages:
- Very good knowledge of English both written and spoken.
Working Style & Personality:
- Analytical and organized working style with a strong problem-solving mindset;
- Ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional teams;
- Proactive curious and motivated to continuously learn and develop.
