Job Summary
- Develop implement and maintain comprehensive health safety and disability management policies and procedures
- Oversee disability cases including accommodations modified work arrangements and return-to-work planning
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and stay current on industry trends
- Liaise with medical professionals third-party administrators and insurers to coordinate and manage disability claims
- Provide guidance and education to leaders and employees on health safety and disability-related policies rights and responsibilities
- Track and report on health safety and disability metrics costs and outcomes identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for health safety and disability-related inquiries and escalations
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Occupational Health Disability Management or related field
- Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent designation preferred
- 5 years of experience in health and safety management with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role in health care field (home care experience an asset)
- Strong knowledge of health and safety disability legislation and return-to-work best practices
- Annual salary for this is $80000 - $95000 (compensation is based on experience)
