Job Summary

Across Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) covering Bulgaria Romania Czech Republic Slovakia Hungary Poland and the Baltics JDE Peets plays an active role in shaping responsible business driving meaningful external engagement and contributing to national and regional sustainability agendas. As the Corporate & Government Affairs Manager CEE you will operate at the heart of this dynamic region building strong external partnerships and safeguarding the companys corporate reputation across diverse markets.

About the Role

JDE Peets is looking for an experienced enthusiastic professional who can combine strong communication skills stakeholder engagement sustainability and public affairs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys navigating a fastchanging environment shaping narratives and representing the company externally with confidence and credibility. As a key member of the CEE Legal Compliance & Corporate Affairs team you will drive communication strategies lead external advocacy efforts and contribute to initiatives that strengthen trust in JDE Peets internally and externally.

Reporting to CEE Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs your key responsibilities would be:

  • Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies aligned with business objectives including proactive engagement with stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with public authorities participate in legislative consultations and represent the company in discussions with decision-makers
  • Prepare and distribute PR materials including press releases presentations briefings newsletters and social media content that reinforce the companys reputation
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external partners industry organizations and expert groups
  • Support CSR and social initiatives with a particular focus on sustainability activities aligned with the global ESG framework including CO₂ reduction and packaging optimization
  • Provide handson guidance to internal teams (Sales Marketing Supply Chain) and business partners on sustainability and communication strategy
  • Cascade internal global communications locally
  • Assist business requests for corporate information from customers to consumers

For this role were looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Corporate Affairs Public Affairs and / or Corporate Communications within international organizations (FMCG/food sector preferred)
  • University degree - preferred fields: Political Science Business Communication Environmental Studies or related disciplines
  • Experience working with media public authorities and external stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear accessible messages
  • Additional advantage: experience in public speaking persuasive skills technical knowledge of packaging and CO₂ reduction
  • Independent proactive approach and ability to perform effectively in a fast-changing dynamic environment
  • Strong communication creativity and ability to combine strategic perspective with practical execution
  • Fluent English both written and spoken enabling effective collaboration in an international environment
