Were currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Group Chief Information Offices Operations Director for Cybersecurity youll be responsible for the design implementation and management of efficient global operational processes for all activities related to Capability including Workforce Management Financial Management Portfolio and Accountability Governance and 3rd-Party management. Youll work closely with both your Cybersecurity team and partners in the People Function Procurement Finance Risk Compliance and Group Transformation to simplify and standardise processes through adoption of best practice to provide a best in class cohesive and consistent service offering across the division.

In this role youll:

  • Define and maintain a rolling 3-year Service line workforce plan in line with the Cybersecurity financial plan and aligned to the wider division and Group workforce and location strategies
  • Execution of a workforce strategy for Cybersecurity to drive alignment to the future state leveraging People services as required for - hiring at scale conversion programmes outsourcing insourcing HSBC as brand of choice emerging talent programmes external market insights and social media strategy
  • Effective budgeting planning and cost management processes for total spend across service line
  • Detailed and clear reporting and Management Information including transparency of cost base for the senior Service Line leadership team through accurate consistent and timely reporting
  • Deal Initiation - ensure alignment of key parties to agree objectives and support the development of the Tech Businesss strategy for not only new deals but also with the current landscape of providers
  • Oversight of programme financial reporting through tracking forecast/actuals and validating and reporting programme financial benefits
  • Analysis stakeholder engagement and support to external parties

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven track record of senior executive leadership and management roles within the financial services industry preferably within multinational banks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills able to translate complex situations into a simple digestible message tailor messages according to the target audience and create impactful presentations/updates for a senior audience
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity together with broad technology and risk management experience. This includes but is not limited to cybersecurity control design and implementation operational process and incident response and knowledge of the external environment - regulatory political competitor and market
  • Experience of navigating and leading within a complex matrix environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise complex information and make data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes
  • Deep financial and commercial awareness
  • Demonstrable experience in managing significant financial and resource plans organisational transformation and project portfolio management
