ABOUT THE JOB

FleishmanHillardsBrussels office is seeking apublic affairs and communications professionalwith 3-5years of relevant experience with a focus on financial markets and asset management policyto support its Financial Services practice.

We have an excellenttrack recordof advising blue chip clients as they navigate regulatory political and policy issues of substantial commercial and societal approach hinges on close partnership offering deepexpertiseand applying insight as well as creativity to ourstrategic advice.

Within our Brussels office our Financial Services team consists ofaround40full-time consultantsadvisingover 40 clients spanning banks investors insurance companies market infrastructuresdataand payments providersFinTech corporates and credit rating agencies. Specifically we advise these clients on the implications of legislative and other policy developments for their organisations and develop advocacy strategies that help them meet theirobjectives.

What you will do

• You willmanage and leadon the implementation of public affairs programmes for market-leading global accounts and work in close partnership with clients as a trusted advisor.

• You will support other members ofourfinancialmarkets and asset management teamsin servicing our client base in thesesectors.

• You willassistin outreach to policy makersstakeholdersand the media.

• You will activelyparticipatein broaderofficeactivities including business development and people management.

Who you are

• You have 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in EU financial services policy capital markets and asset management gained through work with EU institutions or national ministries of finance/regulators consultancies or in-house in a financial services organisationor association.

• You have an excellent understanding of EU institutions EUprocessesand political dynamics with the ability to assess how regulatory developments impact financial markets and investment activities.

• You have strong business acumen andanappreciation of the commercial impact of policydecisions.

• You have proven project management skills with the abilityto drive multiple projects/campaigns for a portfolio of clients.

• You have strong advisory skills supported by first-class written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate complex regulatory developments into clear actionable insights.

• You have an entrepreneurial and creative approach toproblem-solving.

• You havea track recordof successful influential public affairscampaignsand stakeholder communications strategies.

• You are a dynamic team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• You can manage multiple issues and deadlines.

• You can build andmaintaintrusting relationships.
