Behavioral Health Therapist IV Job Responsibilities:
Serves as clinical expert providing a range of therapeutic services psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions to assist the patient in achieving progress towards the goals and objectives of individualized treatment plans.
Assesses and diagnoses mental health and/or substance use disorders through a bio/psycho/social department specific and evidenced based assessment identifying patient and family goals/needs.
Serves as a clinical leader by providing clinical supervision to team members seeking licensure as well as supervision/mentoring of graduate students during clinical internships.
Integrates assessments using information related to cultural clinical ethnic age and other factors into the plan of care while providing a range of therapeutic interventions psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
May engage in research and contributes to the specialty field of program/department/unit through the development/participation of research protocols abstract writing and publications when identified and appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:Masters Degree Ph.D. PsyD EdD in Mental Health Social Work Counseling Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
- Experience: Five years of experience post licensure in mental health/substance use disorder treatment psychoeducational programming including targeted evidence-based interventions (crisis intervention trauma and integrative therapies).
- Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP). Approved Clinical Supervisor Within 3 Months
