Postion Summary:

The Senior Environmental & Safety Coordinator (ESC) provides environmental and safety related support to their site management teamsparticipatesin continuous improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with Swageloks programs policies and practices in conjunction with Federal State and Local environmental and safety this role theSeniorESCdemonstratesa high levelofexpertisein EHS disciplinesbysupporting facilities and operational areas of a complex nature or with high safety/environmental impact potential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a visible presence on the shop floor respond with a sense of urgencyengagewithsite operationsandcollaborateonassociate engagements initiatives.

  • Partners with site management teams to support daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives from an environmental and safety perspectiveandassistsin projects aligned with businessobjectives.

  • Ensure compliance with the local Calendar of Events andmaintainrecords per the Records Retention Policy.(Including but not limitedto:industrial hygiene monitoringwaste streamidentificationand disposal; preparing andmaintainingdata required for federalstateand local reporting such asAnnual Hazardous Waste State Emergency Response Commission (SERC)Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) and Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)).

  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of local processes regulatoryrequirementhazardsand opportunities for improvement.

  • Oversees and conducts trainingandmaintainstraining records for localenvironmental and safety programs.

  • Conducts hazard assessments and identifiesappropriate personalprotective equipment.

  • Facilitate and document workplace incident investigations and root cause analyses in accordance withOHS programs.

  • Analyze andpresent environmental and safetyperformance metricsto management teams on a periodic basisandoffer recommendationsto drive improvements.

  • Review and updateenvironmental and safety programs and training/communication materials asrequired.

  • DemonstratesSubjectMatter Expertise (SME)in multiple EHS disciplines andsupport other ESCs asrequired; promotes safety culture.

  • Activelyparticipatesin local safety or response teams and may act as the facilitator.

  • Oversee site Emergency Response Teams and qualifications; develops and helps conductappropriate training.

  • Collaborate with peers in support functionstomaintainsafety focus/safety culture awareness as part of business operations;demonstrateorganizationalawareness.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required: Bachelorsdegreein environmental sciences safety management engineering chemistry or other applicable degree.

Experience:Candidates with E&S discipline training and5 years ofwork experience around the Environmental and Safety fieldor manufacturing leadership withdemonstratedresults in executing regulatory compliance.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Working conditions associated with normal office environment.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g. computer telephone copier printer etc.).
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.
  • Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
