Our Opportunity
To support ongoing growth within Galintel we are seeking an experienced Branch Supervisor to lead our Derrimut VIC operations. Reporting to the Operations and HSEQ Manager this full time permanent role is responsible for providing structured leadership across warehouse and transport operations while ensuring safety efficiency and service excellence.
This is a hands on leadership role where you will oversee day to day warehouse activities manage transport and logistics maintain inventory accuracy and support the development and performance of the warehouse team.
Your Duties Will Include but Are Not Limited To
- Provide strong leadership to site personnel ensuring safe and efficient daily operations
- Manage inbound and outbound freight including booking and scheduling transport and monitoring contractor performance and costs
- Oversee warehouse operations including picking packing loading unloading and dispatch to meet DIFOT targets
- Ensure accurate stock control through cycle counts and inventory management
- Create and manage picking slips delivery dockets manifests and dispatch documentation
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Customer Service and Sales to communicate delivery status and delays
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods and manage non conformances
- Support and develop warehouse staff through coaching supervision and performance management
- Maintain WHS compliance including toolbox talks safety meetings inductions and incident reporting
- Implement company procedures 5S standards and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support site performance improvement planning through effective time and task management
The Right Person
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar warehouse or transport supervisory role
- Certificate III in Warehouse Operations or higher
- Forklift licence LF and a valid Australian drivers licence
- Strong leadership capability with a hands on and proactive approach
- Sound computer skills including Pronto and Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Strong organisational problem solving and communication skills
- Experience in building construction or industrial environments highly regarded
- A strong commitment to safety quality and customer service
