As the Assistant House Supervisor youll help create a safe stable and therapeutic home environment for young people. Youll step into leadership when the House Supervisor is not present providing direction support and oversight to the residential care team.

Youll work closely with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator as part of our Out of Home Care Program to ensure consistent highquality care.

This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Warrnambool VIC within our Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the Residential House Supervisor.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Leadership experience from any sector or strong experience working in residential care and a desire to step into leadership.
  • A relevant Diploma in Community Services Social Work or a related qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field.
  • An understanding of Aboriginal culture values and the challenges faced by Aboriginal children young people and families.
  • The ability to build strong supportive relationships with young people who may have experienced trauma and present with complex needs.
  • Skills in developing or implementing behaviour support strategies for children and adolescents.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
