We are seeking a motivated enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barking starting as soon as possible. The Role
As a Year 4 Teacher you will be responsible for planning delivering and assessing lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will help pupils build independence resilience and confidence while developing strong foundations in literacy numeracy and foundation subjects. You will work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure learning is inclusive and accessible for all pupils.
You will also monitor progress closely adapt teaching to meet individual needs and provide targeted support where required. Strong communication with parents and carers will be essential in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
Deliver engaging literacy numeracy and foundation subject lessons
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL
Promote independence confidence and positive learning behaviours
Maintain a structured inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Provide targeted interventions to support pupil attainment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Support enrichment activities school events and extra-curricular opportunities
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 2 ideally Year 4
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective adaptable and proactive
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
