This position will assist in the multi-faceted administrative and operational needs of the Wellbeing department of Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well) including programs such as peer wellness coaching peer wellness education wellbeing workshops massage therapy and mindful meditation. This position works directly with professional and student staff by coordinating outreach requests assisting with staff hiring processes and developing and facilitating wellbeing opportunities across campus for students.
Complete administrative and communication tasks for wellbeing programs such as peer wellness coaching peer wellness education massage and mindful meditation. This includes customer service program registration leading student meetings assessing and organizing requests and tracking survey data.
Work with each unique program area to increase awareness through marketing and communication strategies across campus.
Take a critical look at the current wellbeing programming and recommend strategies to improve operational processes; take the lead on creating appropriate deliverables with support.
Provide wellness coaching for undergraduate and graduate students.
Support the development facilitation and evaluation of wellbeing workshops to student groups classes and campus departments. This includes public speaking with small and large group audiences.
Participate and engage fully in professional development and leadership opportunities including the professional intern curriculum.
Assist in hiring training supervising and evaluating wellbeing student employees and professional staff.
Engage in the Rec Well all staff meetings divisional committees and other professional development responsibilities.
Engages in the Rec Well professional internship development curriculum all staff meetings divisional committees and other professional development responsibilities and opportunities.
Wellbeing
$22.50/Hour
This position works an average of 30 hours per week. The typical schedule is Monday- Friday between the hours of 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. with occasional evening and weekend support .
Academic Year Internship Program Information:
Internships are limited-time employments lasting 9 months or 1040 total hours
Internship dates are approximate and will run mid-August 2026 to May 2027
HS Diploma Required
Bachelors Degree in a related field with cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 (or advancing towards with anticipated graduation by August 2026)
