As a Senior Secondary Systems Design Engineer you will undertake a variety of works associated with the construction and maintenance of Evoenergys Electrical Network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of maintaining a future focused electricity network for the ACT.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare designs for zone substation secondary systems including protection control communications systems and auxiliary DC and AC supply systems
- Prepare designs for the construction of major zone substation assets including circuit breakers power transformers switchgear structures and earthing
- Perform design reviews and approvals in accordance with Evoenergy and industry standards
- Support project delivery teams during construction
- Prepare and update design templates manuals and internal standards
Our ideal candidate:
- You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community championing a safe inclusive and respectful environment
- You hold an Electrical Engineering Degree
- Experience in the design of high voltage electrical substations
- Understanding and knowledge of secondary systems for high voltage protection and control
- Strong computer skills and experienced with using AutoCAD
- Proven ability with managing stakeholders
