We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to guide and coordinate our organizations administrative financial HR IT safety/compliance and operations across multiple sites. This role reports to the executive leadership team and collaborates with a board or governing body as applicable.

Job Summary
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is responsible for determining and formulating policies and providing overall direction of MTNAs organizations within guidelines set by the board of directors or similar governing body. Plan direct or coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct or coordinate the organizations financial or budget activities to fund operations maximize investments or increase efficiency.
  • Appoint department heads or managers and assign or delegate responsibilities.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance and identify cost reduction program improvement or policy changes.
  • Direct plan or implement policies and activities to ensure ongoing operations and maximize returns on investments.
  • Prepare budgets for approval and funding/implementation of programs.
  • Confer with board members and staff to discuss issues coordinate activities or resolve problems.
  • Implement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems.
  • Oversee human resources activities including HR planning high-level staff appointments and major departmental organization.
  • Establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions across departments and sites.
  • Preside over or serve on boards or management committees as appropriate.
  • Negotiate or approve contracts with suppliers distributors and government agencies.
  • Develop and implement budgetary control and recordkeeping systems.
  • Review reports to recommend approvals or changes.
  • Deliver speeches write articles or present information at meetings to promote services and objectives.
  • Interpret and explain policies rules regulations or laws to organizations and officials.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Operations Management Finance or related field.
  • MBA or equivalent masters degree preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CAP SHRM-SCP PMP Six Sigma) a plus.

Experience

  • Manufacturing experience with at least 20 years in tire retreading or related industries; specific retreading manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 815 years of progressive leadership experience in administration operations or shared services within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated track record leading HR IT facilities safety/compliance and finance support functions.
  • Experience driving cost reduction process optimization and standardization across multiple sites.
  • Ability to scale operations implement governance and manage mergers/acquisitions or site consolidations (relevant).
  • Experience working with unionized labor or strong change management in labor-relations contexts (optional but beneficial).
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Indoors and outdoors across office manufacturing floor and warehouse settings
  • Exposure to loud noises dust dirt and smoke; protective safety clothing may be required
  • Extended periods of standing or sitting; use of measuring devices and machinery
