The Production Planner is responsible for administering organizing and controlling material control functions of the plant ensuring the flow of orders through the plant in a timely fashion to meet scheduled shipping dates.
What You Will Do
- Review and prepare manufacturing work orders including make-to-order and make-to-stock outlining operations materials shipping dates and enter all other required information into the computer.
- Work from prints to input Bills of Materials
- Review the status of work in process with manufacturing to ensure work orders are on track and take necessary actions to resolve problems.
- Review material reports for shortages and low levels and take appropriate action.
- Follow up on customer service questions regarding work order status and shipping date changes.
- Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently by confirming product availability pricing and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate shipment scheduling and logistics activities including transportation and delivery arrangements.
What You Will Have
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Word and Excel.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in production planning materials management or related roles within a manufacturing environment
- Must be customer-oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail is a must.
