Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: The Clinician position is responsible for implementing and facilitating the clinical components of the YAP St. Louis program in partnership with the Office of Violence Prevention.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Facilitate up to 2 group psychotherapy sessions per week utilizing the Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) curriculum.
- Individual and family psychotherapy may also be provided to program participants on an as-needed basis.
- All services delivered in compliance with YAP policies federal and state regulations and with fidelity to the SPARCS model.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Masters degree in a Human Services field required.
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor Martial and Family Therapist or Independent-Level Social Worker preferred.
- Licensure as a Temporary Mental Health Counselor Temporary Martial and Family Therapist or Masters-Level Social Worker is acceptable with proof of a supervision contract with an approved independent-level supervisor
- Applicable licensure must be in good standing with licensure board.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families
- Experience facilitating groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Position requires reliable transportation valid drivers license and current auto insurance coverage
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
