Duties and Responsibilities include:
Conducting research on specific areas of study both on a computer and aboard ship as assigned. Preparing technical reports and scientific papers for publishing. Maintaining and applying a substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art observations principles and theories. Developing tools and code to conduct advanced analyses of ocean and atmosphere datasets. Adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in physical oceanography or relevant field
Experience:
Proven ability to formulate scientific hypotheses conduct rigorous analyses and clearly communicate scientific results and conclusions in peer-reviewed publications.
