Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Learning and Development Intern to support our Learning and Development initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in designing coordinating and evaluating employee learning programs while gaining exposure to broader People and Culture functions such as talent management engagement and performance development.
This is an office-based position at our Morrisville NC location. The Learning and Development Intern will report to the Associate Director Learning & Development.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and coordination of training sessions workshops and learning events
Support the administration and maintenance of the companys Learning Management System (LMS) including tracking attendance completion rates and course evaluations
Support the administration of LinkedIn Learning and Hone training including managing user access tracking participation and compiling usage reports
Help develop learning materials such as presentations and resource guides
Conduct research on emerging L&D trends and recommend innovative learning solutions
Support employee onboarding and orientation activities as needed
Compile data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs
Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing People and Culture initiatives
Prepare and deliver an end-of-program presentation on a topic selected by you and your manager to a designated audience
Minimum Requirements
Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology Organizational Development Education or related field
Must be at least a Junior level student at university at the time of your application
Strong interest in learning and development talent management or organizational behavior
Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear engaging and professional materials
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint)
Ability to handle multiple projects prioritize tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment
Creative thinker with curiosity and a positive solution-based mindset
Available to work full-time during the summer months (May-August) in an AskBio office
Preferred Education Experience and Skills
Prior internship work or volunteer/extracurricular experience in the Human Resources or Education field
Experience using AI in content creation and workflows
Experience with internal marketing and adoption of learning initiatives
Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
Flexible and willing to support a variety of tasks for the People and Culture team
