Hi there

Im looking for a Community Support Worker to support me in my day-to-day life and help me get out and about doing the things I enjoy.

Im a male in my 50s with a pretty relaxed personality. I enjoy a good balance of chilling out at home and heading out into the community. Im an animal lover with a cat called Crunchy and a dog called Ruby. I enjoy spending time outdoors especially going for walks and soaking up the sunshine warm weather is definitely my preference!

A Bit About Me

Some of the things I enjoy include:

  • Watching TV shows and movies (documentaries action drama mystery and sports are my go-tos)
  • Listening to music old favourites and newer stuff
  • Following cricket and AFL
  • Exploring new places and revisiting old favourites particularly out in the countryside
  • Having a laugh and enjoying good company

About You

Im looking for a support worker who is:

  • Easy-going open-minded and approachable
  • Someone with a good sense of humour
  • Able to work well on their own and as part of a wider team
  • Someone who is reliable respectful and patient
  • Must be okay with dog and cat being in the home

Experience Im Looking For

  • Previous experience in community or disability support work
  • Experience supporting people with spinal cord injuries (essential)
  • Good communication skills and a calm approach
  • Complex care experience (Personal Care Bowel Care Catheter Care Manual Handling)
