General Description:
Under supervision of the Director of Instructional Technology and Innovation performs clerical/administrative and technical work in support of keeping school libraries running effectively.
- Covers the catalog/circulation desk and welcomes students into the library providing general support and guidance in support of the librarian
- Assists school librarian in the ordering of books and supplies including generating and submitting requisitions
- Monitors orders receives shipments and reconciles with packing lists
- Maintains records of spending to reconcile with bookkeeper
- Processes new and donated materials to make them shelf-ready including importing MARC records
- Shelves materials and maintains the order of the collections
- Identifies worn obsolete and damaged items and transmits that information to the department Director for potential removal
- Repairs damaged materials
- Performs inventory of all materials
- Assists with the daily opening and closing of the media center
- Assists students with locating library materials
- Prepares and distributes overdue notices for all overdue library materials
- Oversees daily work activities of adult and student volunteers and trains as needed
- Monitors and supervises students in library spaces as needed
- Performs related duties as directed by the Director and school administration

Required Qualifications:
- Requires High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred) and two years office or clerical experience
- Library experience and/or school experience preferred
- Preferred proficiency with Google Workspace for Education (Mail Docs Sheets Gemini) MacOS and Follett Destiny
- Organized self-motivated creative and flexible based on needs of staff and students
- Effective and demonstrated verbal and written communication
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly rate range: $23.94 - $27.97/hr
