the Role

Our Social Support Workers provide a range of high quality services aimed providing support and assistance to frail aged and disabled clients and their carers so that they can maintain their skills independence and quality of life within their community.

About You

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or working towards same; or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on person centred care.
  • Physical ability to undertake manual handling duties.
  • Ability to follow routine daily work schedules with limited supervision and working knowledge of OH&S responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to role model KDHS values of Empathy Wellbeing and Community and the Everyone is a caregiver philosophy
  • Good time management and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be able to demonstrate KDHS values of empathy wellbeing and community.
  • Previous experience in implementing group sessions.
  • Computer skills.
