Job Summary

The focus of Wellbeing Diversity & Inclusion (WD&I) at SEEK is to foster an inclusive culture that embraces differences amongst people enhances wellbeing and creates opportunities for people to feel connected excel in their roles and live a more fulfilled and productive working lives at SEEK.

The role is responsible for progressing the WD&I strategy governance framework and related initiatives across the 8 countries in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region as well as being responsible for various cyclical WD&I programs and deliverables.

In addition to being the champion and internal expert of WD&I within SEEK this role is highly varied and hands on in nature.  It requires a self-starter with a strong drive to engage with a broad audience and collaborate with various stakeholders on key programs of work. The role is suited to someone who enjoys ideation and has strength in critical thinking whilst also being able to execute well to achieve outcomes. Qualities such as influencing skills the ability to build rapport quickly to harness internal networks along with exceptional planning and organisation skills are also important for success.

Responsibilities 

  • Design and deliver relevant programs to support the 5 pillars of the WD&I strategy: shared responsibility building inclusive leadership and continuous listening capability supporting how we enable inclusion by systematically hardwiring inclusion principles and practices into policies programs and events.
  • Lead build and maintain oversight of all programs of work within the portfolio engaging others in cross-functional teams where it makes sense to do so. This includes execution of the Women in Technology strategy and other initiatives across SEEK.
  • Contribute to the intentional design of meaningful purposeful and inclusive employment experiences for SEEKers in all career seasons and life stages as informed by continuous listening and relevant insights.
  • Provide guidance to existing internal Employee Advocacy Groups (EAGs) and consider establishment of others which are key to building organisational capabilities of inclusive leadership continuous listening and inclusion.
  • Ensure that SEEK fulfils its legal and regulatory obligations including reporting (e.g. SEEK Board WGEA) and following through on commitments made to the Board and shareholders.
  • Collaborate with the APAC Director HR Business Partnering in the strategic selection of corporate sponsorships events and awards which build SEEKs reputation as a leader in Wellness Diversity and Inclusion and progressive people practices.
  • Develop an external network of professionals in the Wellness Diversity and Inclusion space and identify other organisations from which we can learn.
  • Build and maintain annual WD&I calendar of events in partnership with EAGs with a focus on creating awareness understanding and intentional action.
  • On behalf of the organisation oversee and manage the SEEKer Support Program (which is similar to an Employee Assistance Program) and the relationships with external providers.

The team

Across the APAC business the WD&I strategy and programs at SEEK is supported by two key roles: this role and one other; a more junior position based in Malaysia.

The WD&I practice is a key function within People & Culture involving multiple stakeholders.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various teams including HR Business Partners Talent and Leadership Talent Acquisition Internal Communications and Remuneration and Benefits Centres of Expertise. The role also provides support to business leaders organises and engages with SEEK employee volunteers and coordinates various events and initiatives across the organisation.


Qualifications :

Skills and experience 

Demonstrable experience and/or capability (knowledge skills and ability) in the following:

  • Delivery enablement and coordination of Wellbeing Diversity & Inclusion initiatives programs and events in a cross-cultural global organisation (small and large scale)
  • Tailoring people solutions to match culturally diverse and nuanced organisation
  • Experience in supporting organisational cultural change and developing effective communication plans and feedback channels to enable this
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills (both written and verbal) and being able to influence senior stakeholders
  • Keeping abreast of contemporary and innovative WD&I practices and proactively identifying opportunities for application in SEEKs working environment and organisational context including but not limited to supporting established and implementation of EAGs and related frameworks
  • Conducting thorough research developing business cases and project plans (including change and communication) and effectively engaging with key stakeholders to ensure effective project management and delivery of key initiatives
  • Measures of success and reporting: defining evaluation criteria capturing data and measuring outcomes and reporting progress and insights from various initiatives and programs. 
  • Developing rapport and fostering productive relationships within People & Culture and with business peers and stakeholders to ensure meaningful progress is made in the WD&I target areas
  • Be comfortable working with competing priorities and perspectives and respectfully navigating deeply held cross-cultural values and beliefs to remove barriers to progress and find a common way forward that unites people
  • Use commercial insights and acumen to demonstrate how evolving WD&I can be a key driver of employee and company performance

Nice to have skills and experience 

  • Experience working in a People and Culture role with a demonstrated track record of designing developing overseeing and reporting on people related programs and interventions.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Wellbeing Diversity & Inclusion Human Resources Organisational Psychology Commerce/Economics or Law
  • Knowledge of and recent experience within the regulatory legislative and reporting requirements as they relate to Wellbeing Diversity & Inclusion in an ASX listed company
