Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst responsible for recording monitoring and reconciling transactions impacting the general ledger accounts with a strong emphasis on cash accounts. The role involves maintaining various processes and schedules for the General Accounting team and ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare month-end closing entries.
Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of recorded transactions.
Follow up with relevant Finance teams or transaction initiators to identify and resolve reconciling items.
Ensure controls and processes are properly maintained and achieve SOX compliance.
Support ongoing ad hoc requests.
Work with various individuals within the Finance Department to obtain necessary information.
Collaborate with various other departments as necessary such as Customer Care and Treasury.

Qualifications:

University Degree in Business or Accounting preferred or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
Good time and project management skills.
Ability to work successfully independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be available for month-end quarter-end and year-end requirements.
Occasional overtime required.
