Job Summary

Learning & Development Coach PowerNet

Were looking for a detailoriented and proactive Learning & Development Coach to support the delivery coordination and continuous improvement of PowerNets training and competency programmes. This role plays a vital part in helping our people develop and maintain the skills they need to work safely and effectively. While youll work closely with our Field Trade Coaches this position is primarily officebased with a focus on programme administration assessment oversight learning content development for the Learning Management System and guiding staff through their training pathways. At times you will need to provide cover in the field for our Field Trade Coaches to ensure training delivery is maintained.

This role reports to the Training Team Leader forming part of the wider People Safety & Communication team and works closely with leaders across the business to support a consistent approach to learning and development.

Whether youre already experienced in learning and development or youre currently in a trade or technical role and want to apply your practical knowledge in a learningfocused capacity wed love to hear from you. Ideally we would like this role to be based in Invercargill; however were open to other PowerNet depots for the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Learning & Development Coach youll help maintain and strengthen our training and assessment programmes so they remain aligned with business needs industry standards and operational requirements. Youll work closely with the Field Training Team leaders and trainees to support capability development ensure learning pathways are effective and wellcoordinated and contribute to a consistent and highquality approach to training across the business.

Youll support employees working through industry qualifications monitor their progress and help maintain the quality and consistency of our learning pathways. Youll also work closely with leaders and others in the training team to identify development needs refine training material and ensure that our programmes are practical effective and aligned with daytoday operations.

You dont need to have formal coaching or assessing experience if youre passionate about developing others and have a desire to learn yourself well help you grow into the role.

What Youll Bring

  • NZ Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) Level 4 or equivalent experience as a Line Mechanic / Cable Jointer / Electrician with ESI exposure
  • 5 years industry experience
  • Strong understanding of distribution systems tools equipment and operational safety
  • Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills
  • A passion for coaching mentoring and helping others grow
  • Strong organisation and timemanagement skills
  • Confidence using digital tools learning platforms and Microsoft Office
  • A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to safety
