Our field teamplaya significant part in our business. As a Distribution Line Mechanic based in our Invercargill Depot youll be part of a dedicated team who safely build and maintain reliable electricity for our customers throughout the network. Youll be integral to our success.

This is a full-time and permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday plus overtime and on call subject to skills and experience.

Main duties

Provide line maintenance construction and fault repair across our network
Install replace and maintain overhead and underground/ ground mounted power line equipment
Adhere and comply at all times with your Network Access Competency Scope of Practice

About you

Minimum of Current EWRB limited registration
Preferably a minimum of 2 years experience as a Line Mechanic within the electricity industry in New Zealand or a minimum 4 years experience as a Line Mechanic overseas working with distribution plant and equipment.
Current working knowledge of the industrys safety regulations
Ability to perform call-out duties possibly alone and after hours in inclement weather
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors
