Our field teamplaya significant part in our business. As a Distribution Line Mechanic based in our Invercargill Depot youll be part of a dedicated team who safely build and maintain reliable electricity for our customers throughout the network. Youll be integral to our success.

This is a full-time and permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday plus overtime and on call subject to skills and experience.

Main duties

  • Provide line maintenance construction and fault repair across our network
  • Install replace and maintain overhead and underground/ ground mounted power line equipment
  • Adhere and comply at all times with your Network Access Competency Scope of Practice

About you

  • Minimum of Current EWRB limited registration
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years experience as a Line Mechanic within the electricity industry in New Zealand or a minimum 4 years experience as a Line Mechanic overseas working with distribution plant and equipment.
  • Current working knowledge of the industrys safety regulations
  • Ability to perform call-out duties possibly alone and after hours in inclement weather
  • Physically fit and capable of working outdoors
