Pay Rate: Up to $21/hour

Job Summary
A healthcare facility in North Bergen NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical and clerical support under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner. This role supports patient care delivery in a fast-paced outpatient setting ensuring high-quality patient-centered service and accurate medical documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare examination and treatment rooms including supplies and instruments
Prepare patients for provider visits and medical examinations
Obtain record and document vital signs in patient charts
Perform clinical procedures including:
EKGs
Laboratory testing
Phlebotomy
UDS BAT PFT Audiometry and Titmus Testing (after competency validation)
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and reports
Assist with billing and collection processes as needed
Utilize computer systems for data entry and office operations
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Deliver patient-centered care while considering age culture language and special needs
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and caregivers
Adhere to organizational standards policies and behavioral competencies
Perform additional duties as assigned
Meet physical requirements including standing up to 6 hours per day and lifting up to 5 lbs
Required Skills & Experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Experience with computerized systems and data entry
Required clinical skills: Laboratory procedures and EKGs
Education & Certifications
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Required Certifications:
BLS Certification (AHA)
One of the following Medical Assistant certifications:
CMA (NHA NCCT AAMA)
RMA (AMT NAHP)
AMCA
NCMA
