Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking equipment operators in Columbia SC. The Operator is responsible for proper care and operation of equipment such as Bull Dozer Front End Loader and Backhoes and for maintaining a safe working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operates heavy equipment such as front end loaders back hoes bulldozers and forklift.
  • Services and performs general and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Transports and delivers materials
  • Coordinates and plans routes in an industrial setting with focus on working safely
  • Ability to read understand follow and enforce safety procedures
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure checking oil and water levels.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operating in an industrial setting is required
  • Possession of a current valid drivers license
  • Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
