SENIOR DUPLICATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge of operating servicing and repairing of offset press collator xerographic machine binding machine and related machines
2. Ability to operate and service machines with speed and accuracy and make major repairs in case of an emergency
3. Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of others
4. Ability to give oral and written directions
5. Ability to use independent judgment

REPORTS TO: Administrator as assigned

JOB GOAL: To assist in the efficient processing of imprinted paper so that maximumbenefit will be realized by the educational program

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operates cleans adjusts and takes general care of duplicating and related machines; makes major repairs in case of an emergency
2. Performs duplicating duties requiring initiative and independent judgment
3. Checks prepares assembles and tabulates material and information for records and reports
4. Initiates necessary requisitions and work tags and other miscellaneous material pertaining to the work of the department
5. Reviews requisitions to determine the number of copies desired type of master copy to use; and color size and weight of paper required
6. Prepares half-tone plates and metal masters; collates binds counts wraps and distributes duplicated materials
7. Operates other machines such as collator paper cutter or hole punch
8. Assists the Reprographics Supervisor as directed
9. Takes the place of the Reprographics Supervisor when absent

SALARY: $23.95 - 38.95 per hour

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Districts Improvement of Professional Services handbook Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable

NEW PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES AND PERMANENT EMLOYEES WHO BECOME PROBATIONARY UPON RECLASSIFICATION:

A new employee or a permanent employee who is changed to a new classification shall serve a probationary periodwhich shall not exceed six (6) months of duty time exclusive of leaves of absence or other absences. During thisprobationary period the employee must meet the required standards of performance to be recommended for permanentstatus in the classification. A probationary classified service employee may be terminated from the probationaryclassification at any time without cause without right of appeal or hearing before the Board of Education. Pursuant toEducation Code section 45113 a permanent employee who accepts a promotion and fails to complete the probationaryperiod for that promotional position shall be employed in the classification from which he or she was promoted.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operators license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
