Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Management Team Construction Team and Splice Team to ultimately provide Client support.
  • Collaborate with engineering firms and resources as needed to determine the specifications of the project.
  • Solve problems of a complex nature with knowledge and experience using GIS and AutoCad tools.
  • Compile geographic spatial data such as field observations satellite aerial photos all mapping programs (AutoCAD/MicroStation) and determine how the info can best be displayed utilizing GIS.
  • Analyze spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into reports documents and custom maps.
  • Use GIS tools and methodologies to generate various analyses and solutions.
  • Design and run queries and reports in order to pull data from geographical databases.
  • Review approve and implement 3GIS/CAD Designs in Customers various platforms
  • Support internal and external clients and be the main point of contact for GIS related inquiries which may include Client Site Surveys.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Verizon 3GIS based design platforms including AutoCad
  • 3GIS & ESRI Technical Certification preferred or Two or more years of relevant work experience in a similar role using GIS and ESRI technical skills may suffice.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Telecom Planning Design Engineering Permitting Construction and Splicing project phases are required.
  • Knowledge of Optical Distributed Networks (ODN) technology FTTH Fios with Virtual Servicing Areas.
  • Experience with engineering telecom interactions and inquiries required with Railroad DOT State and Local Municipalities
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Self-motivated and self-directed including possessing strong communication skills verbal and written with ability to train others for team success
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with the ability to perform in-depth analysis with many different types of data including Excel and SmartSheets PowerPoint Bluebean Adobe etc.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members vendors and customers.

Work Environment:

  • Office Client Space Construction Site reviews including trips to the Field

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting in an office setting

Travel Required:

  • 30% travel
