DescriptionIn accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
The Asset Optimization Coordinator plays a vital role in maximizing the utilization of the organizations physical assets including facilities equipment and technology. This position involves collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders to oversee various assets such as buildings equipment information systems and infrastructure. The Asset Optimization Coordinator will maintain a comprehensive maintenance and lifecycle plan within the enterprise asset management system (Archibus) ensuring effective management of hospital assets. They will support plans and strategies to optimize asset value performance and cost-effectiveness throughout their lifecycle. Additionally this role involves engaging with key stakeholders implementing training programs monitoring asset performance managing service contracts and ensuring data accuracy in the enterprise asset management system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
A level of education training and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Facilities Management Engineering or Business Administration and three (3) years experience in asset management preferably in a complex organization or healthcare setting.
Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of enterprise asset management systems (e.g. Arch bus) and their application in managing diverse assets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop effective asset management strategies and plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to facilitate discussions and coordinate activities with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Knowledge of capital equipment planning and lifecycle management principles.
- Familiarity with maintenance practices asset utilization and replacement planning.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs related to asset management is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate data records.
- Proficiency in using computer software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
