Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for preparing and performing a wide range of computed tomography (CT) procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care safety and image quality. This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and effective communication with patients and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients and perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper positioning during examinations
Provide patient care and education throughout procedures
Operate CT imaging equipment according to established protocols
Maintain accurate documentation related to imaging procedures
Communicate effectively with radiologists and healthcare team members
Physical Demands
Requires finger dexterity visual acuity hearing and verbal communication
Frequent sitting walking stooping/bending lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs reaching above shoulder level and prolonged static gripping
Occasional standing kneeling squatting twisting and carrying up to 25 lbs
Infrequent pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs of force
Work Environment
Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions
Possible exposure to communicable diseases in a clinical setting
Minimum Qualifications
Education Certification & Licensure
Active Hawaii State Radiologic Technologist license required
ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience
Minimum one (1) year CT experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with medical staff
