Job Summary

Test Operator

The Test Operator is responsible for executing tests on engineered pipe support components to ensure they meet quality safety and performance specifications. This role involves setting up test equipment running test procedures identifying and reporting components that are satisfactory or do not meet specified test criteria.

Inspector

This position is responsible for performing visual inspections of pipe supports within power and industrial plants. The inspector will be responsible for technical guidance on installation repair and/or adjustment of supports. Written reports of findings and recommendations are required.

This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of ASC. This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies regulations and procedures from the Customer and/or ASC.

What You Will Do

Set up calibrate and operate test equipment (manual semi-automated or fully automated) according to test procedures and standard operating procedures.
Perform functional tests on engineered pipe supports to verify that units satisfy all design and engineering requirements.
Visually inspect engineered pipes support to determine the general mechanical structural condition of components and their supports by verifying parameters erosion including settings and physical displacements; and detect discontinuities and imperfections such as loss of integrity at bolted or welded connections loose or missing parts debris corrosion wear or erosion including examinations for conditions that could affect operability or functional adequacy of snubbers constant loadspring type and rigid supports.
Prepare inspections reports for submittal to Customer and/or Project Manager. Reports to include recorded positions findings and recommended corrective actions.

What You Will Have

Qualifications & Skills

A bachelors degree in relevant technical / engineering disciplines (e.g. Electrical Physics Computer Science etc.)
Ability to read isometric drawings.
Good computer skills: data entry possibly working with test automation software.
Excellent attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical stamina: ability to stand for long periods lift specified weights (often 25-30 Lbs. depending on role) and work in varying environmental conditions as needed.

Working Conditions

On-site work at Nuclear Power Plants or production floor environment.
50% Travel Required.
Shift work may be required (1st 2nd 3rd shifts possibly weekends or off-hours).
Exposure to standard industrial environments: noise temperature variation high power or high temperature equipment with inspection work.
Must adhere to safety protocols including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
