The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- With the direction of the Head of Content Creation conceptualising and writing compelling copy for a range of marketing deliverables across all platforms including digital print bulk communications and long-form publications in line with project deadlines.
- Working closely with the Content Creation Manager and Graphic Designer to ensure copy and visual content are aligned on-message and delivered to brief.
- Proofreading all marketing content prior to publication to ensure accuracy clarity and a professional end-product.
- Supporting the roll-out of all marketing campaigns ensuring the smooth operationalisation of high-quality on-deadline projects.

Minimum requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Copywriting English Journalism Political Science and/or Social Sciences (Post-Graduate level advantageous)
- Experience in:
- 3 years experience in a copywriting role
- Conceptualising and writing clear engaging copy across a range of marketing platforms including digital print and long-form content
- Supporting visual storytelling through collaboration with designers including providing input on imagery layout and art direction
- Proofreading and editing written content for accuracy clarity and tone primarily in English (Afrikaans an advantage)
- Working within structured workflows managing multiple deadlines and responding to feedback
- Supporting content sign-off processes involving multiple role-players across an organisation
- Knowledge:
- A relevant academic background enabling confident informed writing on public policy governance and political issues
- Working knowledge of South African current affairs and the political environment
- Basic understanding of liberal democratic principles and the Partys values and positioning
- Working knowledge of marketing and communications best practice
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Zoom Teams and basic Adobe Acrobat

- Administration and attention to detail
Abilities:
- Writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences
- Use initiative and work well in high-pressure situations
