Description

Position Purpose:

This position will perform duties related to the coordination and development of the resource area for conferences and events including merchandising marketing displays and the operation and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system supervision of the cashier team and oversight of all related handling procedures.

Essential Duties:

  • Developing creating new and maintaining up-to-date Electronic Resource Order Form.
  • Manage the Point of Sale system and report issues that need IT attention.
  • Use the Point of Sale system to track evaluate and report sales.
  • Develop and place Resource orders through the Production Department for Events.
  • Pre-inspection of merchandising and cashier bins prior to dispatch and delivery.
  • Design the correct space and table displays for all relevant resources and merchandising items at the conference/venue.
  • Oversee students/volunteer teams in the Resource area.
  • Coordinate the repacking process of all products and cashier bins at the end of each event for safe shipment.
  • Supervise and train cashiers to operate the POS system.
  • Order cash for events and complete till request forms for each event and conference.
  • Ensure and supervise the compliance with correct cash handling procedures within the resource area.
  • Operate Point of Sale equipment as a Cashier at Conferences and Events.
  • Provide post-event reports from the POS to the appropriate depts.
  • Track resource sales innovate and make recommendations for further improvements.
  • Create price lists and ensure accuracy of signage at events.
  • Attend and schedule office meetings as necessary.
  • Complete office administrative duties as necessary to complete all tasks associated with this position.
  • Manage the NCR system.
  • Design floor plans.
  • Create barcodes.
  • Oversee all duplication needs.
  • Work with VIP services for the needs of the special speaker tables.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to accurately make change with U.S. currency.
  • Must be able to follow directions effectively.
  • Must have or obtain a passport.
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs.
  • Working on own initiative and as a team player.
  • Being able to work well in busy situations and on short timescales to complete set tasks.
  • Good organizational skills to bring systems and processes into line with AWM guidelines.
  • Strong mental math skills.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Friendly outgoing and customer service oriented.
  • Must be able to follow directions effectively.
  • Must be able to travel out of town for up to 5 days concurrently including weekends
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • Some cashier experience preferred.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
