Job Summary
Essential FunctionsProvides administrative support and coordination for all aspects of patient care for new patients
Coordinates new patient consultations with referring offices.
Serves as a single point of contact for both referring offices and new patients.
Obtains accurate patient demographics insurance medical records images/CDs and PCP referral.
Schedules new patient consults based on diagnosis acuity and Provider availability. Reschedules as necessary.
Using the electronic record alerts Nurse Navigators Financial Counseling Clinical Trials and Registration of the new consultation.
Answers and returns calls from both patients and referring office in a timely manner.
Demonstrates competence in performance of duties related to data collection.
Demonstrates competency in using computer systems office equipment and resources to facilitate new patient intake.
Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Education
High School Diploma required.

Scheduling experience in administrative medical office setting 3-5 years required
