ROLE OVERVIEW
Metals Analyst Vienna Austria
We are seeking a Metals Analyst to research fundamental supply and demand drivers in base and precious metals markets. The ideal candidate will be a junior to mid-level professional with previous experience in metals. Experience working with commodity markets is a plus but not a requirement. Prior exposure to coding and data analysis is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of metals markets (e.g. copper aluminum gold etc.) including global supply/demand dynamics mining/production trends inventories and trade flows.
- Build and maintain detailed supply-demand models price forecasts and scenario analyses to generate actionable trade ideas.
- Collaborate with traders and other researchers to refine the models.
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate degree in metallurgy material sciences and engineering production engineering or a related field from a top university.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets.
- Excellent quantitative and modeling skills (Excel advanced; Python/R/SQL a plus).
- Excellent communication skills a self-starter mentality and the ability to quickly learn and adapt.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
COMPENSATION
The all-inclusive salary for this position STARTS at EUR 95.00000. Competitive and performance-based compensation package depending upon qualifications.
