Mini-Circuits designs manufactures and distributes integrated circuits modules and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries Mini-Circuits products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection measurement and imaging applications including military communication guidance and electronic countermeasure systems commercial scientific military land sea and aircraft; automotive systems medical systems and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20000 customers globally through our direct sales force applications engineering staff sales representatives as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
The Business Market Manager drives Mini-Circuits internal teams to successfully close key customer opportunities in order meet segment-specific sales goals and provide outstanding customer service. The role in concert with the Global Market Business Manager (GMBM) is a key commercial interface within the Global Market Manager team.
Salary Range - $68k - $85k
Job Function:
  • Closely monitors targeted focus opportunities (OPs) as identified by RSM/GMM to ensure smooth progression through the funnel and conversion into a win. Works externally with reps to gather necessary information and internally to ensure actions are completed in a timely manner with good quality. Quarterly review is done to make any needed changes to target OP list.
  • Reviews all no bid decisions and serves as an escalation path for no bid challenges from Representative Partners to be reviewed with GMBM GMM and Business Unit lead as needed.
  • Keeps a record of open quotes prioritizes and defines the right follow-up with reps and customers with a focus on conversion to orders. Close the loop and analyzs our results so we can improve.
  • Monitors and follows-up on outstanding price reviews escalating pricing issues to RSM/GMM and PLM/Business Unit Head when needed to win the business.
  • Monitors annual pricing contracts for consistency to keep good quality quoting and pricing across the segment. Provides pricing guidelines and serves as an escalation path for reviews that fall outside of the guidelines.
  • Maintain Key Account Plans and create new as needed. Tracking booked business to annual quotes and in production OPs monitoring the pace and alerting the needed parties to situations requiring action. To be completed for a list of focus customers agreed upon with the GMMs.
  • Educates and co-ordinates Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) working on in-region accounts. Point of escalation for CSRs.
  • Monitors in-region commission assignments for accuracy and consistency as directed by the RSM/GMM and supports resolution of in-region rep firm commission disputes as necessary.
  • Escalation path for delivery issues. Works with Reps and CSR to define customer critical needs and with Production Control to identify gating items and opportunities to accelerate deliveries.
  • Monitors projected wins and closed OPs moving into production working with Inside Sales Production Control and Material Planning to identify potential risks of not meeting the customers demand schedule with responsible inventory levels and take mitigating actions to reduce.
  • Supports GMBM and GMMs in preparation for Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Monthly Business Review (MBR) and fully participates in meetings.
  • Attend and fully participate in opportunity reviews for in-region rep firms.
  • Contributes to Marcom plan for market segments including management of feedback from Reps.
  • Monitors lead activity within the region and drives Rep Partners to follow-up for new customer contact or Opportunity conversion.
  • Serves as Rep Partners support and escalation point. Troubleshoot system issues or requests as reported by Rep Partners as well as serving as a point of escalation for business items that need additional support to move forward or close such as expedite requests and Sales and/or Applications OP actions.
  • Supports the broader RSM/GMM and inside/outside sales organizations with process evaluation development and enhancements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of related experience within RF/Microwave industry.
  • Strong marketing and/or business content.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working for a company with marketing sales or customer service responsibilities.
  • Project management experience (market research problem resolution business development tracking the progress of activities etc.) in a commercial and customer service driven environment.
  • Proven experience working with customers to provide commercial leadership and outstanding customer service.
  • Experience with selling process in the electronic component industry (e.g. understanding of quoting and order process flow use of customer relationship management tools understanding and applicability of terms and conditions of sale.
  • Associates level degree and higher.
  • Bachelor level degree preferred (Business and/or Marketing degree preferable).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to ask questions articulate customer requests and report back to the GMBM GMMs and the broader Mini-Circuits team.
