Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION The Natural Sciences Division is seeking adjunct instructors to teach general biology lecture and lab courses human biology lecture and lab courses and biotechnology lecture and lab courses on campus or at dual enrollment sites for the Fall 2025 semester and beyond. Courses to teach include BIOL 101F BIOL 102F BIOL 102LF BIOL 190F BIOL 190LF (Biology/NatSci).

Essential Functions

Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS MS or advanced degree in biology cellular biology developmental biology ecology molecular biology biochemistry biotechnology or allied fields Commitment to examine reflect and modify instructional relational and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters in any biological science OR Bachelors in any biological science AND Masters in biochemistry biophysics or marine science OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area; OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education training employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
