ASIC Verification Engineer, Amazon Leo Modem DV Team

The Role:
Be part of Leos sub-team responsible for defining and implementing Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) devices used for communication links between low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites and Amazon customer terminals. This is a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking wireless solutions with few legacy constraints. The team works with customer requirements and wireless system teams to define modems high-speed interfaces embedded processors and DSP solutions in latest CMOS generation technologies.

In this role you will:
- Implement and maintain pre-silicon verification environments utilizing simulation and emulation platforms.
- Develop detailed verification test plans testbenches checks tests and functional coverage.
- Be proficient in the application of verification languages and methodologies such as System Verilog and UVM.
- Work with design and communication systems team to ensure our design verification is robust and exhaustive.
- Automate regression testing collect coverage metrics and report progress to the program.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field
- 1 years of experience in verification preferably in communication systems

- Masters or Ph.D degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering.
- Familiarity with formal verification techniques.
- Familiarity with Matlab.
- Experience in developing coverage-driven verification test plans.
- High level of pro-activity initiative and problem solving.
- Familiarity with constrained random and assertion based verification.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
