The University of Miami Health System UMIT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time BI Report Developer 3 to work in a hybrid capacity based in Coral Gables Florida.
TheBI Report Developer 3is responsible forday-to-day projects and analytics prioritized by the Manager of Business Process Analytics. They will be workingmainly onWorkday reporting within the Finance HCM andSupply Chain areas and willbe requiredto have knowledgeaboutthese areas within Workday.
Core Responsibilities:
Partners with business usersto gatherall requirements to formulate business specifications. Translatesthe specificationsinto application and operational requirements andultimately areport or a series of reports that satisfy those requirements.
Investigates and analyzes current functionality toidentifydata integrity issues and misalignments with existing business services policiesand procedures.
Reviews analyzes and evaluates processes systems and user needs for planned projects based on the business plan of the enterprise.
Engages with stakeholders across multiple functional areas to gather clarify and document reporting and analytic needs for ad hoc reporting recurring events and projects.
Determineswhat data should be selected and evaluated to address and track various business issues.
Consults with functional teams on theselection application and implementation of metrics.
Proactively applies analytical and research skills tomonitortrends and elevate issues.
Reviews reports andensuresthat financial information has been recorded accurately.
Analyzes a variety of financial data and produces relevant reports in a clearconciseandtimelymanner to answer end-users inquiries.
Takesownership of and ensures integrity of Finance data throughdevelopmentof auditreports;troubleshootsirregularities;partners withFunctionalteam to research correct discrepancies and ensure compliance.
Remains apprised ofnew technologyand approaches and best practices as it relates to business analytics and generates critical data associated with the business.
Serves as a key contact for non-routine questions and requests especially related to Finance systems and data.
Extracts manipulatesandexplores data using quantitative statisticaland visualization tools.
Synthesizescurrent business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
Manages confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.
Mayparticipatein the interviewinghiringand performance appraisals oflower-levelpeople.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in related field
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of Reporting Tools
Exceptional presentation and analytical skills
Highly self-motivated
Works effectively as part of a team or independently
Any appropriate combination of relevant education experience and/or certifications may be considered.
