- Education and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent college hours required; bachelors degree in Accounting Business Finance or a related field preferred with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role involving property accounting inventory control and general office functions.
- Technical and Computer Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with accounting and record-keeping processes; proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word business software programs and the ability to learn and adapt to Fixed Assetrelated and evolving technologies.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to interact professionally with the public and District employees.
- Organizational Skills and Professional Commitment: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy flexibility to adapt to change and evidence of a strong commitment to quality integrated education.

- Manages fixed asset property accounting functions and ensures end users are properly trained on running reports and completing inventory.
- Receives records and maintains accountability for all new fixed assets and donated equipment regardless of funding source.
- Coordinates with Procurement and other departments to ensure fixed asset purchases are properly coded and recorded in the Fixed Asset System.
- Maintains and updates capitalization criteria asset procedures and documentation as required.
- Oversees asset tagging assignment transfers and retirements ensuring accuracy and avoidance of duplication.
- Coordinates and conducts districtwide physical inventories including preparation of instructions reports reconciliation and follow-up.
- Maintains accurate inventory records reflecting physical inventory results and system adjustments.
- Prepares required reports including technology inventories donation summaries depreciation schedules and insurance-related asset valuations.
- Coordinates asset disposal activities including excess inventory redistribution public sales auctions and retirements ensuring proper documentation and system updates.
- Processes end-of-year fixed asset reconciliation depreciation reporting and provides audit support.
- Supports schools and departments with asset-related incidents involving loss theft or damage ensuring proper documentation and system updates.
- Periodically visits schools and departments to assist with physical inventory.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director.
