Assistant Grower

Truly Green Farms is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Grower to support our Growing Team in daily greenhouse operations. The Assistant Grower position is a vital aspect to achieving above-average production keeping a consistent flow and creating a strong and healthy work environment.

What Youll Do:

• Take full ownership of an assigned growing section oversee daily crop health irrigation climate control and labor activities.
• Act as a driver of continuous improvement by identifying better more efficient ways to complete growing operations and solve challenges proactively.
• Manage and optimize irrigation schedules and greenhouse climate settings using PRIVA software including vents curtains heating and system influences.
• Monitor and respond to system alarms independently to ensure optimal growing conditions.
• Lead guide and support team members by effectively delegating tasks to labor supervisors grower supports and cross-functional departments.
• Build strong working relationships with team members to provide ongoing training coaching and development.
• Ensure daily labor flow aligns with crop needs and production priorities.
• Support high-wire greenhouse production through hands-on oversight and technical expertise.
• Promote a positive respectful and collaborative work environment aligned with company culture and values.
  

Requirements

• Higher degree or equivalent experience in greenhouse horticulture
• 25 years of experience in high-wire greenhouse production
• Availability to work weekends holidays and extended hours when needed
• Ability to self-prioritize multiple tasks
• Resourceful and problem-solving abilities
• Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with PRIVA software
• Ability to train and lead people
• Results-driven and detail-oriented
