Fond Farewells is a service of Awanui Veterinary and Scientific supporting veterinary clinics to offer compassionate dignified and environmentally responsible after-care options for pets and their owners. The service is growing nationally as clinics look to improve client experience and sustainability outcomes.

As part of our ambitious growth strategy we are looking for a driven and dynamic Sales Executive to support the growth of Fond Farewells Awanuis compassionate and environmentally sustainable after-care service.

This role will also support selected clinics as part of the border veterinary diagnostics portfolio.

About the role Mō te tūranga:
The Sales Executive role will support Awanuis growth by building strong trusted partnerships with veterinary clinics to drive the adoption and on-going use of our services. A key focus of the role is the growth and support of Fond Farewells working closely with clinics to integrate after-care conversations onboarding and service delivery into everyday addition the role will support elements of Awanui Veterinarys diagnostic portfolio in collaboration with the broader Commercial Team.


Youll work closely with internal teams to support operational alignment enhance customer service and help drive revenue and margin growth. This role reports to Head of Business Development and collaborates across various functions.



Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying developing and executing new business opportunities within the aftercare and veterinary diagnostic sectors.
  • Supporting the execution of commercial plans in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Assisting in market research and analysis to inform commercial decisions and identify growth areas.
  • Contribute to developing annual marketing and promotions plans including client communications.
  • Working with operational teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client needs.
  • Monitoring sales performance and contributing to regular reporting and forecasting.

To be successful in this role:

  • A results-driven self-motivated professional with experience in consultative sales ideally within the animal health veterinary scientific or human health and medical device sectors.
  • A proven track record in identifying and developing new business opportunities managing client relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • An understanding of financial principles with experience supporting budgeting forecasting and contributing to commercial planning is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with internal teams and external clients.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations marketing and technical staff to ensure aligned service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Confident using data and digital tools to support commercial decision-making and reporting.
  • Able to travel regularly and hold a clean New Zealand drivers license.
