About this role - The Manager Finance is a critical finance leadership role responsible for managing end-to-end commercial finance activities for National Chain Stores South Retail and Wholesale businesses. This role ensures revenue assurance financial controls and effective business partnering to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
Commercial Finance & Revenue Governance:
Own revenue recognition billing releases credit note issuance partner reconciliations and revenue assurance in line with internal controls and accounting standards.
Business Partnering:
Partner with Sales Channel Heads OTC and Credit teams to enable smooth sell-in timely collections and achievement of commercial targets. Act as a finance advisor to support decision-making.
Planning Forecasting & Budget Control:
Lead budgeting and forecasting activities; track and control discount support EOSS budgets and promotional investments to ensure optimal ROI.
Performance & KPI Management:
Analyze sales margins price/mix sell-in & sell-out trends and inventory covers. Monitor KPIs and conduct variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
Working Capital & Risk Management:
Manage partner reconciliations review statements of accounts enable collections plans set up payment plans with Credit teams and mitigate financial risks.
Reporting & Reviews:
Drive flash reporting channel P&L sign-offs quarterly trial balance reviews and monthly finance reviews in partnership with FP&A and senior leadership.

About You
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA)
10 years of experience in Commercial Finance Business Finance or FP&A
Strong understanding of revenue recognition book-closing cycles and customer lifecycle management
Proven experience partnering with P&L owners and supporting revenue-driven businesses
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and financial modeling capability
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Exposure to retail wholesale or national chain store business models
Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting category or channel teams
Data analytics exposure for business insights and performance tracking
Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
