Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide support in our substantially separate program outside of the main high school.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Provide support to high school students on an IEP by attending classes taking notes helping students with executive functioning skills and assisting students in a variety of ways listed in their IEPs
- Work closely under the supervision of special educators and clinical staff in the program
- Work collaboratively with other members of the LS Academy milieu team
- Support the supervision of students in the milieu as well as other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associates degree bachelors degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility
- Must be the kind of person who is warm caring respectful and has a strong desire to work with students as well as a willingness to learn
- Capacity to work as a member of a team
Experience Preferred:
- Previous experience working with special education students especially those with significant social & emotional needs
